The Job:

The Compliance Analyst will focus on assisting to ensure that the company and departments within the company have regulatory compliance. Review changes to ensure that procedures and policies meet the government regulations and ordinances. This will include continuing to update training, maintain training logs and doing necessary research regarding training regulations. You will have to work closely with other department stakeholders to make sure that all departments remain compliant and abreast of changes to laws and regulations.

Reports To: Senior Director of Risk and Compliance

As a Compliance Analyst at Tango Card, you’ll:

  • Implement and maintain Compliance Software system as it relates to Money Transmission exam compliance monitoring program(s)
  • Review regulatory bulletins and other sources of information to research and stay up to date on regulations
  • Participate and contribute to the writing and updating of policies and procedures relating to Money Services
  • Research and update policies and procedures to accommodate changes in the business strategies or lines of business
  • Remain current in the field by attending classes, reading publications, talking with peers and joining professional groups
  • Research both regulatory filing information and writing and communicating guidelines to keep other departments aware of requirements
  • Assist with the coordination of documents and information requests from state or independent examiners 
  • Assist with the implementation of the mandatory changes identified by examiners
  • Assist with the review and feasibility of the recommendation of the examiners
  • Assist with the coordination of timely filing with state regulators – monthly, quarterly, annually, and renewals 
  • Understand the systems used by the state agencies such as Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) and the State Examination System (SES)
  • Interface with our Transaction Security Team
  • Monitor the Know Your Customer (KYC) process and subsequent follow up
  • Investigate flagged customer transactions for potential violations 
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by CFO, CAO, and/or other Directors

To be effective in our Compliance Analyst role, you must have:

  • Associates Degree with 2+ years of experience OR Bachelor’s Degree with Accounting or Finance emphasis with 1+ year of experience
  • Operate with a sense of urgency yet with a high attention to detail

Our ideal Compliance Analyst at Tango Card will have most of the following skills and experience:

  • Ability to work within a team but also individually/self-directed
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Possess problem solving, influencing and critical thinking skills
  • Experience with enterprise-level reporting systems; Netsuite experience is a plus
