Content at Karat

The Content Team at Karat is dedicated to the creation and testing of the questions that are part of the most predictive and fair technical interviews available to software engineering candidates. Content Engineers improve and refine interview modalities that are proven to generate a signal from our interviews while researching and exploring new ways to achieve even more signal. The work done by Content Engineers directly impacts candidates by helping them highlight their skills to future employers in the first-round technical interview with higher fidelity.  

Core Responsibilities

• Author new content assessment modules across a variety of subject domains
• Evaluate and manage the processes in content development process, from module authoring to testing to deployment
• Coordinate with program managers in Content Governance and Content Research, and Development TPM to ensure the effectiveness and predictability of current and future skill assessments
• Based on data findings, build actionable prototypes and experiments to grow the approach, offerings and diversity of skill assessments at Karat.
• Assess viability and impact of experiments/prototypes and then appropriately share learnings with the rest of the content team
• Work with solution engineers to align on client-specific requirements on appropriate new modules

Required

• Software engineering experience (5+ years)
• Software engineering interviewing experience
• Experience writing technical assessment content

Preferred

• Strong data analysis and scientific thinking
