Position Summary:

The Operations Analytics team at Trupanion is adding a Data Analyst! We need a hardworking data specialist who can creatively come up with data-focused solutions to problems, mine data sources, and communicate the results. Successful candidates are self-starters that have an unbridled curiosity and share our joint passions of analytics & pets. Does this sound like you?

Initial Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Analyze, reconcile, and provide an evaluation of extracted data.
  • Provide performance reporting of results against the organization’s KPIs, daily, monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Build and augment analytical capabilities in understanding operations workflows and member experience.
  • Implement operational efficiencies from start to finish: conceptualization, data gathering, analysis, presentation, and monitoring.
  • Cultivate effective working relationships with key internal business partners across the organization to create an environment of knowledge sharing.

Qualifications (Please include a cover letter with your application!)

Education, Registration & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, economics or other quantitative fields preferred

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 year proven track record with Data Analysis

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: 

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, SQL, Tableau or PowerBI required
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or R preferred
  • Passion for teaching skills and collaborating with team members across the company
  • Flexibility to work independently and in a team-based environment
  • Highly driven and motivated to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Strong understanding of business strategy, preferably with experience in operations analytics
