What you’ll do:

• Use your creativity, first-class engineering skills, and technical knowledge to deliver features and improvements

• You will build and scale data products to enable leadership, product management, and operations teams understand how data, tools, and services are being used across our platform

• You will build the infrastructure required to optimize the extraction and ingestion of data from a wide variety of data sources

• You will collaborate with product and analytics teams to build tools that enable us develop and manage a smarter platform

Who are you:

• You are an experienced Senior Data Engineer who has successfully built systems that are flexible, well-tested, maintainable and scalable

• Strong customer focus, excellent problem solving and analytical skills

• You will have a successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large disconnected datasets

• Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra

• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.

• Experience with AWS cloud-based services: S3, EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift, Snowflake

• Experience with Hadoop, Hive, Presto, Spark, Kafka, Qubole, Snowflake

• Experience with object-oriented and scripting languages such as: Python, Java, C++, Scala

• 5+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role and a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems or another quantitative field
