The Job
We are looking for a Sr. Data Scientist to join the WBD Experimentation Sciences team. In this role, you will play a key part in growing the experimentation-centric culture of Warner Bros. Discovery. You will participate in several cross-functional teams to establish best practices, develop cutting-edge statistical tests, and evaluate the vast number of experiments being run across every aspect of the company.
The Daily
• Partner with Product, Analytics & Engineering teams to design, analyze and interpret the experiments that drive decision-making at Warner Bros. Discovery
• Perform research into new tests and techniques that can reduce both test time and errors.
• Establish and evangelize best practices around experimentation.
The Essentials
• M.S. or Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, Neuroscience, Psychology, or related field.
• Mastery of statistical testing and experimentation.
• Strong knowledge of variance reduction techniques.
• Expertise in Bayesian statistics, state-space models & hierarchical modeling.
• Strong programming skills in Python (or R, Julia) and SQL
• The ability to clearly communicate complex statistical results to a broad audience
Nice-to-Haves
• Experience with probabilistic programming (e.g. PyMC, STAN, Pyro, NumPyro)
• Knowledge of Causal inference techniques and libraries
• Experience with Reinforcement Learning
• Experience with AWS Sagemaker, Databricks, S3, Snowflake
• Experience in Python package development

Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $117,600.00 - $218,400.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
