Senior Web Analytics Engineer

Getty Images is looking for a Senior Web Analytics Engineer responsible for the engineering, design, implementation, and maintenance of web analytics for our customer-facing sites. This role collaborates with marketing, product development, and other analytics stakeholders to clarify requirements and implement creative analytics solutions to accurately, consistently, and robustly support our business goals. Business stakeholders will rely on the Senior Web Analytics Engineer to provide precise, real-time data to optimize business outcomes. The ability to leverage industry best practices and modern technology concepts to improve our web and marketing analytics capability are essential.

Key responsibilities include:
- Optimize and maintain the implementation of Google Analytics (GA), across product & marketing sites
- Develop and oversee the implementation of product & marketing tagging strategies using Google Tag Manager (GTM)
- Write custom tagging and analytics solutions using JavaScript for multiple sites in a GA360 platform
- Set and enforce code, event naming, and data standards in the analytics systems
- Create and provide training to developers & engineers on GTM and GA implementation
- Review and provide quality assurance feedback to developers & engineers in analytics deployments
- Ensures data is appropriately received, transformed, stored, and made accessible to stakeholders
What You’ll Need
- Extensive knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager tools
- Experience writing tagging and tracking specifications
- Experience writing custom JavaScript in Google Tag Manager and enacting design and process improvements
- In-depth knowledge of content analytics tools
- Experience using Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms for data storage, data movement, and data management using big data solutions
- Fluency in the language and common approaches used by digital marketing and web analyst professionals, including ecommerce
- Knowledge of data visualization solutions
- Familiar with agile methodologies and practices
- Experience using quality assurance tracking tools and version control software is desired
- Solid understanding of website structure and the relationship between content, user interface and technologies
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technical or quantitative discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in this field
- Ability to work independently, while keeping management informed
- Adaptive, flexible and able to respond to a dynamic environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
