The Senior Technical Instructional Designer, Sales Enablement / Content Specialist is responsible for developing, editing, and posting technical sales enablement content; as well as curating managing content so that is it easily accessible to the field. You will produce engaging training, templates, and tools that help technical sales people develop their sales skills as well as curate/organize existing content and maintain in sales content repositories and LMS.  You will report directly to the Sr. Director of Sales Enablement.

Responsibilities:

  • Write and develop a wide variety of training tools: templates, facilitator guides, job aids, guided demonstrations, podcast recordings, videos, and recorded webinars.
  • Write and build engaging presentations with Google Slides or PowerPoint
  • Help develop and maintain the sales onboarding program; including facilitation, scheduling, and bringing new ideas to keep it fresh and fun.
  • Create podcasts, videos, and creative webinars (sound engineering, video production, and design)
  • Curation and syndication of content developed by entire Extrahop organization
  • Develop regular communications to field
  • Use excellent visual storytelling skills to produce pieces integrating a wide range of media with a special emphasis of delivering good user experiences on mobile devices
  • Work cross-functionally to bring the needs to of the sales field to corporate
  • Manage rich media projects from start to finish
  • Confidently articulate ideas to groups, large or small
  • Stay abreast of rich media techniques, emerging technologies, and latest web trends

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (you can write).
  • Technical curiosity and able to grasp technical content quickly. Able to interview cyber analytics engineers and write content from that interview!
  • Sales experience or design for sales - must understand the sales process and anticipate sales needs.
  • 2-5 yrs experience as an instructional designer, presentation writer, content manager, multimedia producer, sales trainer or equivalent skill set combination
  • Experience in course-authoring and video editing tools (both technology-based and instructor-led training) such as HTML, PowerPoint, Articulate 360 or Storyline, and/or Captivate.
  • Excellent visual sense, project management skills, high energy, interpersonal skills, teamwork, and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complicated subjects, troubleshoot ahead of time and organizational skills a must
  • BA/BS or equivalent combination of experience and education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Develops content for technology sellers: networking, security, or other technology industry experience.
  • Ability to use Video Editing software (Premiere, FinalCut Pro or, even, iMovie), audio editing programs, and graphic design programs such as Photoshop
  • Ability to use Rapid eLearning Course Development tools, Articulate 360 or Storyline, and/or Captivate.
  • Knowledge of or experience with and content management systems is helpful
  • Experience with Powerpoint Animation, Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.
  • Self-motivated, driven, and likes to have fun
