We are looking for a seasoned hands-on Cloud Architect to help us build new functionality into our Swiftly Cloud Register ecommerce engine. This role will report to the VP of Engineering, and will own the architecture for product catalogue, pricing, cart evaluation and fulfillment. This includes defining our extensible public API’s and ensuring that everything “fits together”. You will scope out architecture that is pragmatic, scales incrementally, and is extensible to support multiple customers. Ideally, you have experience architecting cloud native systems on Azure, AWS, or CGP. You will work with multiple small, high performance teams to build big distributed systems and work very closely with product to ensure we're delivering on the complex matrix of customer requirements.


Qualified Candidates Possess:

-Experience architecting or leading big technical initiatives for multitenant platforms

-A strong background authoring public API's or SDK's

-Proven history architecting cloud-native systems

-Previous work experience in ecommerce

-Excitement to roll up sleeves to seed initiatives, including writing code and doing data engineering to set things on the right path


Ideal Candidates Will Offer:

-Industry background in brick and mortar retail

-Highly skilled with Microsoft Azure

-Experience with Kubernetes

-Prior work with Kafka

-Coding experience with Kotlin and Java
