Engineering Manager, Clinic Integrations

The Clinic Integrations Squad
The Clinic Integrations Squad is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to promote functionality that supports our clinic. By building out and maintaining systems that manage prescriptions, labs and other third-party integrations, your leadership and vision will support and maintain our provider relationships while internally backing engineering efforts. Through integrations, the Clinic Integrations Squad remains core in delivering high-quality care across the U.S. through our leading primary care service.
Your role and impact
As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for building and leading a team to deliver new product features and improvements, as well as driving efficiency, operational excellence and quality. Through consistent collaboration, you will partner with product managers to support goals and identify and prioritize the team’s workload while understanding and negotiating requirements from third parties and external clients. As you evolve in this role, you will help hire and develop talent and ensure everyone grows both personally and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality feature implementations by leading and collaborating with product management
- Maintain an accurate scheduling forecast to ensure a high level of confidence in delivery dates
- Prioritize your team’s capacity based on business and customer needs, operational debt, bugs and risk
- Support operational excellence by defining and delivering on KPIs
- Identify technical and process gaps and promote improvements with measurable impact on the engineering team and technology organization
- Lead and support project and outage retrospectives, identifying actions to address and balance prioritization based on business and customer needs
- Carry out performance reviews for members of your team
- Promote and support team diversity and inclusion
Qualifications
- 7+ years in software engineering
- 3+ years managing or leading an engineering team
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team collaboratively and efficiently
- Passion for promoting a healthy team culture
- Ability to mentor and help engineers work towards their career goals
- Experience coaching a team through technical challenges and owning the technical decisions that team implements
- Track record of fostering relationships with product partners to determine priorities of teams
- Background in hiring and growing diverse and productive teams
- Knowledge of delivering and maintaining services in a cloud-based environment
- Experience overseeing service integrations from third parties for internal consumers
- Capable of guiding a team of full-time and contract engineers
