Front End Software Engineer II

This role allows you to work from anywhere you choose across the U.S. (excluding U.S. territories), with the flexibility to work from the Seattle HQ office as often as you’d like. Please note that no matter where you are located, all employees should be available during our core working hours from 10 am to 4 pm PT Monday through Friday.
Your role and impact
As a Front End Software Engineer, you will build web applications using a modern JavaScript stack based on React and Redux. You will work with a team of engineers focused on rapid feature development, correctness, stability and continual improvement. You will be at the forefront of software design, bridging service engineering and front-end development.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with a small team to build web apps to help our clinic provide quality, affordable care to patients
- Helping to define our web apps architecture and the back-end systems that support the apps
- Participating in and ensuring quality of code and design reviews
- Working across multiple teams to ensure that we are making the right tradeoffs in how we deliver features
- Managing a production application that patients, doctors and clinical staff depend upon
Qualifications
- 3+ years of software development experience in a professional setting developing, shipping and operating an application for a large audience
- Complete development life-cycle experience—requirements gathering and review, design, prototype, documentation and production
- Experience in Javascript, HTML5, CSS3 and at least one Javascript application framework like React, Redux, AngularJS or EmberJS
Preferred Qualifications
- ES6 and functional programming
- Mentoring junior developers technically
- Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, specifically using Jenkins
- AWS services, such as Lambda and DynamoDB
