In order to advance our mission to – “Enable Personalized Care for Every Cancer Patient,” we are seeking candidates for the following role:

Full-Stack Engineer - Java, Progressive Web Apps, Micro-services, GraphQL

You will be part of a team of engineers building software from the ground up which deal directly with cancer patients. You will be involved in tech design, architecture and coding of core services required for us to deliver the world's best experience for oncology patients and clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Develop Progressive Web Applications using JavaScript, HTML, Sass, GraphQL.
• Develop modern secure, scalable cross-platform API layers in Java utilizing Micro-Services and data services with open source development frameworks & libraries
• Write clean, readable code employing clean code principles
• Collaborate with other core services team members to define interfaces, write clear stories with well-defined acceptance criteria, design, build and maintain solutions. 
• Write unit tests with good coverage
• Take and give code reviews and feedback to improve and contribute to learning
• Collaborate with team members to evaluate, research, and/or prototype solutions.
• Evaluate our product experience holistically, from high level product requirements to the specifics of how individual features would fit together
• Enforce standards, best practices, and modern development conventions.

Qualifications

• Fullstack: 5+ years of full-stack software development experience
• Java: 3+ years experience in Java required, ideally with experience in 11+
• JavaScript: Adept at vanilla JavaScript with emphasis on ES6+
• Adept in HTML, Document Object Model, events, page lifecycle, etc.
• SQL Relational Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift)
• Good knowledge of data modeling, software design, and algorithms.
• RESTful API designs and implementations
• 3+ years experience with both SQL and NoSql data stores.
• Craftsmanship and passion for developing web apps, taking ownership of the end product
• Unit testing discipline
• Dedication to generating clean, readable code
• Experience working in a dynamic Agile-based (Scrum) software development team 
• Good communicator and team player
• BA/BS in a Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent professional experience

The ideal candidate will also have, but not required

• Experience developing against accessibility standards - WCAG, etc
• Experience developing secure websites from XSS, etc.
• GraphQL skills using queries & mutations
• Web components usage
• DevOps experience: automation tools, CI/CD, secure & cloud-native API solutions.
• Experience with a JavaScript framework (Angular, React, Vue, Svelte)
• AWS experience
• Node experience
• Browserstack experience
• Application monitoring tools like Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, etc.
