Our ecosystem includes multiple cloud providers, massive Hadoop clusters, parallel databases and a broad mix of leading data management and analytics platforms.

Who You Are

We are looking for a hardworking Senior DevOps Engineer to design and build systems and services to take on increasingly complex data engineering challenges.

  • Prefer experience with running large Kafka cluster including installation, support, design and enhancement.
  • Have 5+ years of experience in systems engineering in Linux, OS level file system and network troubleshooting.
  • Monitoring and logging system (Splunk, CloudWatch, ELK, Grafana)
  • Have hands on experience and knowledge of the fundamentals of cloud computing (including virtualization, multi-tenant cloud infrastructures, storage systems and content delivery networks).
  • Configuration management tools Chef, Puppet and/or Ansible. Infrastructure provisioning tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Have experience with distributed data processing (Hadoop, Spark, Pig, Hive) and open source software (Cassandra, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, NGINX, Redis, Elasticsearch) along with data processing algorithms (MapReduce, Flume).
  • Have diverse data platform experience including NoSQL, MongoDB, Hadoop, Spark, SparkML, Tensorflow.
  • AWS experience highly desired

What You Will Do

You will design, build and support a modern, multi-tenant cloud-based enterprise data platform for both transactions and analytics and share your knowledge with your teammates, as well as the larger tech community.

  • You will drive innovation with technologies and solutions in the large-scale distributed cloud services and petabyte-scale data processing space.
  • Monitor and tune the performance, reliability, and security of the infrastructure. Identify and correct bottlenecks in the system, while working with development teams on optimization and standard methodologies.
  • Collaborating across functional teams, you'll deliver rapid, iterative designs and/or new technology proof-of-concepts.
  • Support 24x7 On-call on highly scalable environment.
  • Creating standards and utilities to support, upgrade, and maintenance for the data platform ecosystem.
  • Actively involved in the daily operational activities that impact the important components / processes of both On-Prem and Cloud function.
  • You'll collaborate across a complementary team of internal and external partners.
