Role
As a Senior Staff/Staff Software Engineer, focused on Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, you will have the opportunity to work on ServiceNow Platform and Tools, build state of the art solutions using workflows, orchestration and developer tools in Private and Public Multi Cloud infrastructure.
What you get to do in this role:
- You will design and develop infrastructure health systems and automation to support the deployment and management of ServiceNow Platform/Products in our own infrastructure as well as Public Clouds to ensure the continuous availability of our cloud (Five 9s).
- In addition to building cloud health tools and automation, you will interact with other members of the infrastructure organization including SREs / System Engineering, Instance Automation, Monitoring, Technical Support and the ServiceNow development teams.
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- 10+ years of experience designing and building scalable reusable software components
- Expert level knowledge on JavaScript frameworks (e.g. NodeJS, ReactJS, Redux) and Java Web Application Framework
- Strong hands-on knowledge of JavaScript, Java, XML, HTML5 and CSS3, AJAX, WS/REST
- Passion for software development, debugging and problem-solving.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging skills and an aptitude for learning new cloud technologies with focus on cloud health.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and databases (MySQL preferred)
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Must be comfortable with juggling multiple priorities with the ability to manage time effectively
- Lead and mentor other team members
- Laser focused on customer issues
Other Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ServiceNow technologies is a major plus.
- Cloud infrastructure knowledge
