Technical Program Manager
Role Purpose
LevelTen Energy is looking for a seasoned, results-driven Technical Program Manager to provide assistance to the CTO and engineering team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about marketplaces and driven to address climate change by bringing more renewable energy to the electrical grid.
As Technical Program Manager you will oversee project management of multiple concurrent software development projects, understand their intersections and know who’s doing what, why and when. You’ll work closely with engineering leads and product managers during planning and implementation. You’ll report to the CTO and help ensure commitments are met and projects have:
- Ample preparation
- Accurate status
- Accountability
- Clear communication
- Rapid resolution of impediments
You will be the primary liaison between product managers, analysts and engineers so you should have technical software project development experience and be comfortable talking to engineers about architectural concepts, databases, APIs, UIs that they are implementing. You should have demonstrable experience with the full software development lifecycle for commercially available software-as-a-service.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include but, are not limited to:
- Coordinate with product managers, analysts and engineering teams to design, plan, and execute projects at all stages of product lifecycle;
- Apply project management skills to prioritize and coordinate resources to address competing needs across multiple products;
- Tracking and reporting status of multiple projects, identifying risks to the schedule and helping to quickly assign resources to resolve them;
- Develop and manage cross-functional communication and processes;
- Ensure successful and timely completion of all technical projects;
- Implement metrics to measure the success of the engineering team;
- Clearly communicate verbally and in writing project status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years technical program management experience;
- A minimum of 5 years experience managing software development lifecycles;
- Exceptional understanding of engineering best practices;
- Strong organizational skills, including a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, and communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences;
- Ability to thrive in a constantly changing and evolving work environment;
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills;
- Exceptional attention to detail;
- A can-do attitude and a strong sense of urgency.
