We are hiring our first time Controller. This will be an exciting role with the opportunity to implement new systems and processes to support the company's operational objectives and rapid growth as the company expands in the US and internationally.

Logixboard is a cloud platform transforming how the $2 trillion freight forwarding industry operates. Firms currently use paper, spreadsheets, and email to track their customers' shipments and provide shippers visibility. They are burdened by low-tech, hard-to-use solutions that are inefficient and costly.

Our platform integrates with existing back-office applications and serves as a digital customer engagement layer, empowering freight forwarders to do their work more efficiently. Our customers love our platform, and we're facing tremendous growth this year. Logixboard is a recent graduate of Techstars Seattle and is looking to expand our team.

Location:

Remote OK / Seattle preferred

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly financial statements 
• Track and report on key financial KPIs 
• Develop and manage financial and accounting controls and processes in accordance with industry best-practices and company’s procedures
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll
• Assist in preparing annual operating budget and monthly budget-to-actual reporting
• Prepare state and local tax and administrative filings
• Coordinate with tax accountant for filing of state and federal income tax returns
• Manage stock grants or option exercises
• Coordinate with insurance brokers for commercial and D&O insurance
• Recruit and train finance & accounting team members over time
• Continually source ideas to drive efficiency, improved controls, and speed of decision making by evaluating and implementing accounting, ERP and other systems, as needed.
• Develop and operationalize a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and maintain all risk-management and insurance relationships to ensure the business is adequately protected.
• Assist with the ongoing administration of 401k program

Requirements:

• Ability and willingness to think strategically on some days and get down into the details on other days
• Working knowledge of GAAP accounting
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
• 3-5 years previous experience in a similar role/job
• CPA license (active or inactive) preferred
