The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual, driven to produce quality work, and enthusiastic about continuous learning and improvement of processes within a fast-paced business environment. This position is responsible for inventory accounting, and other accounts within prepaids and accrued liabilities. The Senior Accountant will actively engage and collaborate with the Accounting, Finance, and Supply Chain Leadership.

A Look Inside the Role:

• Owns the inventory accounting function including performing reconciliations and journal entries to ensure proper cut off and valuation of inventory. Perform inventory reserve analysis and calculations
• Develop meaningful analytics on inventory costs by product (including feight, duty, warehousing) to ensure proper accounting treatment and share with business stakeholders 
• Perform monthly closing activities including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations to maintain accounting records on an accrual basis in accordance with US GAAP and company policies
• Perform monthly fluctuation analyses on the balance sheet and income statement accounts, including researching and explaining variances.
• Review, investigate, and resolve accounting errors, discrepancies, and reconciling items
• Assist with annual financial statement audit including preparation of supporting schedules and responding to auditor requests
• Create detailed process documentation, ensuring accounting implications of processes are clearly understood
• Lead and participate in cross-functional process improvement initiatives
• Assist in or lead other duties or special projects as requested

You Already Have These Qualifications and Love What You Do:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related fields
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance fields
• 2-4 years of related experience in public accounting preferred
• CPA or CPA candidate highly preferred
• Proficiency in MS Excel, using advanced functions and Pivot Tables, QuickBooks, or other ERP system experience
• Excellent communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-starter who takes initiative and demonstrates ownership and analytical aptitude until work is completed
