About You: 

Logixboard is a relatively new company but we’re growing fast and have bold ambitions to disrupt the freight forwarding industry internationally. This role has an opportunity to build the finance & accounting foundation to enable the business to scale in 2022 and beyond. You’ll have a key role on the finance & accounting team with opportunities for professional growth over time. We’re looking for someone who has the humility to do whatever work needs to be done but who also has the ambition to take on big projects that can have a measurable impact on the company’s success. You Will: 

  • Manage the monthly accounting close processes
  • Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll
  • Work with the CFO to develop and manage accounting controls and processes 
  • Assist the CFO in preparing annual operating budget and monthly budget-to-actual reporting
  • Prepare state and local tax and administrative filings
  • Coordinate with tax accountant for filing of state and federal income tax returns
  • Coordinate with insurance brokers for commercial and D&O insurance
  • Assist with the selection of audit firm and take a lead role in the company’s audit process
  • Recruit and train finance & accounting team members over time

We are looking for:

  • The ability and willingness to think strategically on some days and get down into the details on other days
  • Working knowledge of GAAP accounting
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • 3-5 years previous experience in a similar role/job
  • CPA license (active or inactive) preferred
