Our Accounting Team is hiring for a Senior Accountant.This position is responsible for revenue recognition and billing operations for new and existing services. This position will have significant cross-departmental collaboration with the Receivables, Sales Operations, Legal, and Finance teams on a daily basis. This position will also require the ability to drive change and contribute to automation initiatives that will accompany our ERP system implementation. This position is a unique opportunity to leverage your ASC 606 acumen into a broader role that not only owns traditional accounting and financial elements for revenue but is also highly visible with Sales Operations and the division's senior leadership.

Expectations for Success

  • Responsible for the revenue recognition component of monthly financial statement preparation.
  • Prepare and record all revenue components for the income statement as well as the related assets and , including deferred revenue. Compile, analyze and maintain all related supporting information for both the internal and external independent audit process.
  • Reconcile the receivable, revenue, unbilled revenue and deferred revenue sub-modules to the general ledger and ensure any differences are accounted for properly.
  • Perform month end account analyses on all balance sheet and income statement accounts related to revenue recognition and contribute to budget and forecast variance explanations.
  • Provide guidance to Sales Operations on past due invoices and other collection issues.
  • Liaison to internal and external independent auditors to support public company requirements.
  • Coordinate and prepare reporting as requested by division and corporate leadership to support revenue analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
  • Contribute to cross functional teams such as Financial Planning and Analysis, Tax, International, Internal audit, Sales and Legal.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required. CPA preferred.
  • 5-10 years' experience in Accounting and/or Billing Operations, preferably in a SaaS environment for a global organization with $100+ million of revenue.
  • Superior understanding of US GAAP and applicable regulations, specifically ASC 606.
  • Ability to navigate a multi-company and country environment with multiple currencies.
  • Experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud, NetSuite, and Salesforce.com is preferred.
  • M&A due diligence is a plus.
  • Ability to accommodate west coast time zones on occasion for online meetings, calls or other requirements.
  • Ability to accommodate later hours during the monthly financial statement preparation process.
