Supervisor, Credit And Collections
Who you are:
In this exciting new position, you are responsible for supervising the credit and collections function made up of talented Leads and Specialists in the collection of past due accounts and establishing credit terms for customers. Maximizes efficiencies, organizes work processes, methods and procedures. Works daily with Sales organization. The position also requires the ability to provide solutions within a set of policies and procedures, to solve problems to the satisfaction of all parties, and as appropriate, to propose improvements to the existing policies and procedures. Reports to the Manager of Credit and Collections.
Your next challenge:
- Supervises the North American /APAC/Other International regions credit and collections function
- Drives increases in revenue and profits through receivables portfolio and credit management, dispute prevention/resolution, and achieving best-in class performance by working directly with the sales teams
- Maximizes efficiencies, organizes work processes and procedures, and automates procedures
- Focus of job responsibility is on the entire credit to sales/quote to cash process
- Helps establish work standards, develops objectives and assists in the implementation of special projects
- Assigns work to Leads and Specialists
- Reviews employee's work for accuracy and quality
- Recommends and implements agreed improvements to existing processes, procedures and systems
- Selects, trains and develops/counsels employees
- Performs regular employee appraisals
- Management and maintenance of departmental processes and procedures in line with internal control structure
- Maintains and enforces credit policies and procedures
- Ensures control environment is sound and consistent with Sarbanes-Oxley and other audit guidelines
- Assists in Performing contract and sales review to ensure revenue recognition is appropriate
- Preparation and analysis of management reporting incorporating agreed Monthly Key Performance Indicator metrics (KPI's)
- Interacts with internal and external customers as necessary to resolve problems and expedite payment; collects on escalated accounts, as necessary
What you'll need:
- Minimum of 5 years relevant and/or management experience in this field
- Experience with public-company internal control environments and Sarbanes-Oxley is preferable
- Oracle systems experience is preferable
- Significant progressive experience in commercial collections, preferably in a high-tech environment and first party collections
- Solid leadership/supervisory experience
- Solid understanding of commercial credit
- Skilled in writing policies and procedures, evaluation processes and communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing
Education and Certifications
- B.S./B.A. in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance is preferred
