About the Role:

This position reports directly to the Controller and will be a key player in DreamBox’s accounting organization as we scale from the start-up stage to maturity. The position will be tasked with project management of our finance transformation initiatives including new systems implementations and process redesign and improvements. We are seeking a highly motivated accounting professional looking for a fast-paced and growing hi-tech organization that wants you to excel in your accounting career. The position will provide the candidate with exposure across various financial operating cycles as well as hands on experience with building an enterprise SaaS company.

What You'll Be Doing:

· Assist in determining the impact of new accounting pronouncements on reporting requirements and business practices

· Recommend policy and procedure improvements

· Respond to internal and external audit requests

· Partner with cross-functional teams and various other stakeholders to provide ongoing accounting support

· Participant in the Financial Close Process

· Assist with interpretation, understanding, documentation, and adherence to Accounting Policies and Procedures

· Ensure accuracy of Financial Statements, including analytical reviews of financial information

· Ensure completeness and accuracy of business processes, manual and automated journal entries and account reconciliations

· Perform monthly variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts

· Identify and implement operation process and internal control improvements supporting a culture of continuous improvement

About You:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required, Master’s Degree a plus

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate preferred

· ASC 606 highly preferred

· 3-5 years of progressive relevant experience preferred

· Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and ability to apply relevant guidance to complex transactions, software industry a plus

· Hands-on financial professional possessing outstanding technical, analytical, and communication skills

· Demonstrates professional presence in interactions with all levels of the organization including executive management; must be able to deal with ambiguity but also relay information clearly and concisely

· Accounting information systems experience a plus: NetSuite, Paycor, Nexonia, and Concur

· Well organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated team player with proven ability to thrive in both independent and group projects settings

· Able to prepare written communication that articulates messages concisely and accurately

· Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, including the ability to critically think and present new or creative solutions

· Comfortable working in fast-paced environment while demonstrating the ability to meet corporate deadlines and adapt to emerging demands

· Knowledge of record to report, procure to pay, order to cash, and / or treasury cycles preferred
