The Benefit Specialist will manage all employee benefit programs company wide including medical benefits, PTO, leave of absence, retirement plans, and more. The work is impactful to the whole organization and extremely important, as the processing of benefits is vital for employee retention and satisfaction. Help design, manage and deliver benefit programs worldwide for Ekata.

In the Benefit Specialist role you will:

  • Build relationships and interact with all benefit service providers and benefit brokers
  • Assume responsibility of timely payment of monthly premiums by working hand in hand with the Accounting department
  • Manage enrollments and determine employee eligibility
  • Handle all benefit compensation questions and reimbursement procedures
  • Coordinate leaves of absence and process claims or requests by interacting with 3rd party administrator
  • Keep updated employee records with all relevant information (marital status, years of service, hours worked etc.) as required by state and local laws
  • Inform employees of their benefit options and plans as well as monitoring use
  • Collaborate with accounting department for payments and deductions

Our ideal Benefit Specialist will have:

  • Degree in Human Resources Management, Accounting, or similar field
  • 2+ years of experience administering benefit plans (retirement, health & dental insurance etc.) and relevant regulations
  • High degree of knowledge regarding company benefits
  • Solid understanding of full cycle benefits administrative processes
  • Organizational skills to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to visualize and analyze situations for potential conflicts or errors
  • Ability to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Meticulous attention to detail
