HR Generalist II

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented HR Generalist II to join our growing team. This person would be responsible for ensuring compliance and data integrity, this role will provide support in a proactive, professional, and thorough manner that allows the department to function smoothly.
What you’ll do:
- Create effective systems combined with a highly engaging service orientation to proactively meet the day-to-day employee inquiries regarding benefits, systems, and HR policies and when necessary respond directly with a sense of urgency
- Effectively communicate and explain the context of HR procedures and policies to managers and employees in an informative, consistent and accurate manner
- Onboarding – champion and execute on a highly effective new hire on-boarding process including coordinating new hire and functional on-boarding sessions, confirm completion of background checks, input new employees into HRIS, complete I-9s and manage documentation, run E-Verify process and help facilitate portions of the new hire onboarding session
- Backup Payroll Manager and prepare to directly process payroll when required, conduct regular payroll review, and support stock exercise calculations
- Become an expert in our HRIS and be responsible for timely and accurate data entry into HR system, preparing regularly scheduled and on-demand reports, and conducting regular audits and analysis of the data. Responsible for the creation, safe-keeping, and maintenance of employee files. Perform routine audits to ensure compliance and maintain stock equity tracker.
- Create a process to effectively liaise with all departments on employment-related changes and updates ensuring HRIS is always up to date.
- Stay current on state and federal laws pertaining to benefits and employment and suggest necessary changes and updates to employee handbook and HR policies.
- Complete employment verifications and unemployment filings
- Support and take leadership of various HR projects and initiatives (Performance Reviews, 360 feedback, engagement surveys, open enrollment, process improvement, HRIS maintenance, etc.)
- Offboarding – Kick off offboarding process in our HRIS system, complete termination checklist, compile exit acknowledgement and send out exit survey. Track and analyze trends impacting employee engagement and escalate feedback as appropriate to departments.
Who you are:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 3-4 years’ experience in Human Resources
- Knowledge of local and federal employment laws
- Understanding of US benefit programs

- Strong proficiency in Google Apps (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Slides) and MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience using HRIS systems (Implementation of new systems a plus)
- Strong inclination to leverage data to create insight for influence and impact
- Ability to use and master various SaaS tools (familiarity with Slack is a plus)
