Human Resources Business Partner- Bellevue, WA

Smartsheet is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner with a track record of success. We are a growing HR team in a high-growth Software as a Service (SaaS) company. The role will provide key support for the implementation of talent strategy, organizational design, employee engagement, performance management, and other programs. This position is located at Smartsheet headquarters in Bellevue, WA and reports to the Sr. Director of Human Resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior-level business leaders to create and execute a talent strategy aimed at meeting business needs and scaling for growth
  • Support the HR department in the deployment of employee engagement programs designed to improve retention, motivate staff, develop managers, and identify high potential employees
  • Participate in the deployment of varied training content, including programs that support the development of employees and managers
  • Providing guidance to managers on coaching opportunities for performance and development
  • Manage performance improvement processes with managers and employees, including co-crafting, delivering and monitoring performance plans
  • Manage employee relations issues with managers and employees, including partnering with outside legal counsel as necessary
  • Guide and support annual performance review process, including coaching managers, and managing data, workflow, and analysis
  • Provide general employee support and respond to employee inquiries
  • Partner with Talent Management team to evolve talent practices 
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team to create and deliver on workforce planning 
  • Partner with People Analytics and Research team to analyze and deliver People data for managers and staff
  • Manage and maintain confidential records and information

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field or equivalent years of relatable experience 
  • 3+ years of comparable HRBP experience with an emphasis on employee and manager engagement
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with individuals inside and outside Smartsheet in a way consistent with our values and commitment to service
  • Direct, approachable, and clear written and verbal communicator
  • Strong attention to detail with high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently, manage shifting priorities, demonstrate good personal judgment, and effectively handle tasks under pressure
  • Flexibility in handling workload fluctuations and multiple requests
  • Acute understanding of confidentiality and access to sensitive information
  • Advanced level of proficiency using Microsoft Office and Google for Work preferred
  • Experience with Smartsheet and Workday preferred
