JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a Recruiting Coordinator to join our team! 


Our recruiting team strives to build an effective, efficient, equitable, and inclusive process that results in diverse, high-quality hires. From a candidate’s first contact with our team through their onboarding, we constantly think about what makes Code.org a great place to work and how we can make the candidate experience top-notch! 


As the Recruiting Coordinator, you will partner with our Recruiting Operations Manager and Hiring Managers to understand hiring needs, publish roles, coordinate interviews, and conduct reference checks. You will execute a variety of sourcing techniques in order to build a strong, diverse talent pipeline. You will think deeply about candidate and interviewer experiences, and make every effort to provide the best possible experience at all times. 


WHAT YOU’LL DO


•Coordinate interview schedules, handle candidate communications and guide them throughout the duration of the interview process

•Build diverse candidate pipelines through our applicant tracking system, Lever

•Be a true sourcing partner to our hiring managers, helping them to achieve hiring goals, identify and prioritize talent needs and proactively build strong, diverse talent pipelines

•Coordinate post-interview debrief meetings and provide debrief materials

•Find opportunities for improving candidate experience and scheduling efficiency

•Collaborate with our Recruiting Operations Manager and Hiring Managers to improve upon existing programs and processes

•Support other recruiting projects, as needed


EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS


As our ideal candidate, you:


•Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Recruiting Coordinator, Talent Sourcer, or similar role

•Have familiarity with posting and sourcing on various job boards

•Are a great communicator with skills and experience interfacing with all levels of an organization

•Are self-motivated, action-oriented, and eager to learn - you are constantly looking for opportunities to improve your craft and are receptive to feedback

•Are detail-oriented with strong follow-up and follow-through skills

•Have a proven track record to juggle and prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks

•Experience and proficiency using Google Suite, applicant tracking systems, Trello, Slack, or other current tech tools


We prefer candidates who also: 


•Have experience with research/sourcing tools such as LinkedIn, other social media, or technical forums

•Strive to improve efficiencies and iterate on processes

•Are passionate about Talent and Human Resources, and want to grow your career in this field

•Have 1+ years of sourcing experience; technical sourcing preferred

In addition, candidates:


•Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident

•Must pass a pre-employment background check


WHAT IS THE INTERVIEW PROCESS LIKE?


Step 1: Informational Interview - learn more about the role and share your experience (~30 minutes)

Step 2: Homework (~2 hours)

Step 3: Interviews with several members of the Code.org team (~ 3 hours)

Step 4: Final Interview + Meet & Greet with 2-3 members of the Code.org team (~1 hour)

Step 5: Reference Checks All interviews are conducted virtually via Google Meet
