About the Role:

PitchBook's Senior HR Generalist provides broad HR support for the organization and works in partnership with the global People team to manage and support people initiatives and projects. This includes assisting employees and managers resolve front-line employee relations issues. This role also supports PitchBook's global new hire orientation and talent management programs.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Address and resolve front-line employee relations issues and support HR Business Partners in escalated cases including investigations
  • Support HRBP's on projects that positively impact the employee journey including quarterly conversations and talent management programs
  • Conduct exit interviews and manage the separation process, following-up with managers on feedback and action items
  • Partner with People team members to manage PitchBook's new hire orientation program across our US and UK offices to ensure new hires have a positive, effective, and memorable onboarding experience
  • Act as the main point of contact for PitchBook benefits-related questions and processes; develop communication campaigns and programs to boost utilization of company benefits
  • Act as the primary contact for employees on PitchBook's leave of absence programs. Partner with HR Operations and Payroll to ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws
  • Manage PitchBook's sabbatical program including maintaining policies, answering employee questions, and overseeing the approval process
  • Partner with People team leadership to develop and deliver engaging and effective communication campaigns to employees and candidates that positively impacts PitchBook's employer brand
  • Partner with HRBPs, HR Operations, and other stakeholders to support PitchBook's mobility and visa processes for domestic and international transfers
  • Provide Workday support to HR Specialist to manage employee data tracking and changes (via Workday and other systems) to ensure record keeping and reporting requirements are accurate
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws in all employee related practices including FLSA, FMLA, HIPAA, EEO, ADA, and related SOX compliance areas
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered. Professional certifications (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, etc.) are an added bonus
  • 6+ years of progressive responsibility in HR roles including demonstrated competence in HR processes, benefits administration, employee relations, HR data analysis, HR compliance, HR data analysis, HR tools, and employee communication
  • Superior knowledge of US employment law including state specific law in WA, CA, and NY
  • Proven ability to diagnose problems using strategic thinking skills and identify and drive appropriate solutions, translate business strategy and goals into optimal HR processes that are scalable, simple, customer-focused and adaptable to unique and changing business needs
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving and ownership to resolve issues
  • Ability to operate independently, using sound judgement to make decisions
  • Process-oriented, organized, metrics-driven with an amazing attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to present material to groups in person and via the phone
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and protect employee privacy
  • Proficiency with the MS Office suite including in-depth knowledge of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel with the ability to pick up new systems and software easily. Previous experience with Workday a plus
  • Must be able to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
