Icertis is looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst position to be part of the US Corporate Accounting team. Requiring excellent relationships with both external Payroll provider and internal HR department. This position will be responsible for tracking data flow within the system to meet deliverables for payroll that are accurate and timely. The candidate must have a proven understanding of payroll & stock compensation related matters, including taxation and benefits. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-state payroll within U.S. This position is based in Bellevue, WA. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate end-to-end, on-cycle payroll processing for monthly and off cycle payroll for employees in the United States.
  • Lead/manage special projects related to payroll and/or shared services processes. Provide business support for current and new software, application updates, and process enhancements.
  • Partner with the Human Resource department to answer employee questions related to pay and deductions.
  • Ensure accurate quarter and year end processing including: federal, state and local tax reconciliations (941, 940, W-2, etc.)
  • Handle escalated issues, tax notices or tax audits for federal, state & local taxes
  • Research and communicate information about current and proposed payroll tax legislation and company procedures to ensure compliance
  • Responsible for supporting the development, updating, and monitoring of all internal controls to accurately report financial information related to payroll
  • Register with new tax agencies as needed due to new business or new employees
  • Other responsibilities include but not limited to participate in special projects, or ad hoc analyses as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Experience with Paylocity preferable.
  • Knowledge of Payroll Tax Compliance
  • Experience with multi-jurisdiction application and compliance (e.g. state and local)
  • Knowledge of Stock compensation payroll taxation
  • Knowledge of 401k, HSA and other benefits programs
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance. CPP/CEP Preferred.
  • Able to work in a high pace environment
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of critical data
  • Excellent organization skills with attention to detail and completeness
  • Must be an excellent communicator
  • Business process improvement skills and a mind for automation
  • Hands on, strong work ethic and can-do demeanor. Ability to adapt and change when needed.
