Your role and impact
98point6 provides an engaging learning environment for healthcare management graduate students who are passionate about innovation and leveraging technology to deliver healthcare. The Clinical Operations Internship Program is a 12-week program that offers students an opportunity to work with cross- functional teams within 98point6 on projects that will have an impact on how virtual care is delivered. The identified work will promote a hands-on experience in optimizing operational workflows and leading process improvement initiatives. Each student will learn about 98point6’s unique approach to delivering nationwide primary care and engage in projects that align with their career goals. Interns will work closely with a mentor who will provide leadership and professional development opportunities throughout the program. This internship is only open to current MHA students at the University of Washington.
Project areas include but are not limited to:
- Leading or supporting process improvement initiatives
- Developing process maps of current state and making recommendations
- Analyzing data for clinical care initiatives
- Performing market research on new service lines and intervention programs
- Managing and analyzing data for management-related decisions
Responsibilities
- Work with your mentor to establish a project plan with agreed-upon project objectives and deliverables
- Attend check-in meetings with mentors and other project stakeholders
- Participate in team meetings, lunch and learn presentations and other opportunities for professional development
- Completion of performance evaluations for both intern and mentor
- Opportunity to showcase project work at the end of internship presentation to the Executive Clinical Leadership
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a graduate program for Healthcare Administration at the University of Washington
- Self-motivated person with an ability to multitask and adapt to changing business requirements
- Succinct and professional written/verbal communication
