Donuts is seeking a Corporate Counsel to achieve strategic goals and manage legal risk for our many online digital identity businesses. In this role you will report to the EVP, General Counsel. You will regularly be involved in complex operations and partner across the business to solve challenging problems to support our growth and progress globally. You will work collaboratively with teams throughout the worldwide organization on critical commercial, licensing, technology, and regulatory matters. You will sort through a broad array of business and legal questions, working with the business and outside counsel to address complicated policy questions, comply with regulatory obligations, and resolve issues that arise in commercial relationships. You will work with integrity to draft, manage, and negotiate key agreements. You will manage legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and build processes that mitigate risks while allowing the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

Basic Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school

• Membership in at least one state bar

• A minimum of 5 years substantive attorney experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Law firm and in-house experience

• A mix of transactional, employment, compliance, and regulatory experience 

• Common sense, a strong work ethic, and the ability to not take oneself too seriously

• Ability to build strong relationships quickly and interact with all levels of the business with ease

• Experience delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment while effectively meeting deadlines and adapting to evolving priorities

• A desire to provide great legal and business judgment to the company, especially in ambiguous situations

• Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage priorities and multiple projects at once
