Textio's mission is to build software that creates understanding between people. Our category-defining augmented writing platform has already transformed the way that thousands of companies write and hire. We're looking for a systems-minded CMO to help chart our course through our next wave of growth.

Textio has built some incredible product and content channels. We're looking for a CMO who can connect these channels together both strategically and systematically. They include our core product and integrations, our customer education platform, our content and data stories, our brand, our media channels, our customer community, and more.

Our CMO also needs to be a passionate builder of teams. You have previously built diverse, high-performing teams that successfully deliver. You know how to inspire, mentor, and coach people; you can not only lead your team through change, but you encourage them to try new things and create productive change themselves. You have experience building collaborative and productive relationships with product, sales, engineering, design, people teams, and other partners.

• Have successfully built a system of interconnected and mutually reinforcing product and content channels
• Understand how to take a promising growth-stage company to $100M in ARR and beyond
• Are a metrics-driven SaaS marketing leader who knows how to operationalize marketing experiments so that we can learn quickly and invest into channels accordingly
• Understand the relationship between customer brand, employer brand, and company brand
• Have previously built diverse teams with a strong sense of mission and belonging
• Love learning by making -- we are an innovative team with new products coming to market, and our CMO is energized by taking smart risks
• Understand social media, viral growth, and the value of data
• Lead by example

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently $250-350K. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. We will provide more information on our benefits and equity upon requests. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted up to or over 100% of the offered base salary (no cap).
