With the goal of enhancing ExtraHop’s industry awareness and influence, the successful Communications Specialist will work hand-in-hand with marketing, sales, external agencies, and other internal teams to execute on external and internal communications initiatives.  Reporting to the Manager of Communications, this person will be responsible delivering content to support public relations campaigns and a comprehensive analyst relations strategy that are aligned with company vision and designed to create and maintain a favorable industry image for the company, drive sales leads, and increase conversions.

The successful candidate will have previous B2B tech PR and marketing writing experience; the ability to understand the technical and business benefits of our solutions; and be able to properly identify and convey these through various communications activities and deliverables.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Working with PR, corporate marketing, product  marketing teams, web development team, and customer reference manager to develop content for use with press, analysts, and on the ExtraHop blog.
• Drafting contributed articles, press releases, newsletters and media Q&A responses.
• Assisting in staffing and preparing spokespeople for press and analyst meetings.
• Day to day tracking and management of analyst relationships, matching appropriate spokespeople with briefing/speaking opportunities.
• Prepare briefing materials for executives; coordinate scheduling and logistics; host media and analyst briefings.
• Compile and share global industry news and analyst reports to help ExtraHop capitalize on trends and opportunities happening in the market.
• Coordinate press and analyst interviews and logistics at conferences and trade shows.
• Maintain and regularly update a targeted list of top tier analysts/analysts firms covering topics relevant to ExtraHop.
• Conduct industry research to develop thought-leadership topics appropriate for a variety of ExtraHop spokespeople. 

Additional Requirements

• Work in tandem with broader MarComm team and other key stakeholders around core initiatives that support broader awareness building.
• Understand the nuances associated with each analyst group and demonstrate an ability to tailor two-way communications for key analysts to achieve the best results.

Job Qualifications:

• BA/BS degree required, with a degree in marketing, communications, journalism or English preferred.
• 3-5 years experience as a communications or PR professional in a company or agency setting, with experience writing PR and marketing materials, focused primarily on innovative, disruptive technologies.
• Experience working with tech and security media and engaging with technology analysts.
• A passion for both effective communications and technology.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and with a fast paced team.
• Experience in developing content for technology infrastructure products a plus (e.g., storage, server, networking; software, systems, or hardware). Security technology experience preferred. 
• Positive, high-energy, flexible contributor.
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Independent, self-starter that is comfortable working with ambiguity and is excited to embrace new challenges.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines, with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.
• Interpersonal flexibility, ability to work with multiple stakeholders in legal, sales, PR, marketing and customer support
