Expedia Group is looking for an experienced customer-centric Marketing Manager to join our Outbound Marketing team (OBM) focused on the planning and execution of purposeful and cohesive marketing communications to help people go places.

 

Reporting to the Director of Customer Marketing, you will run global marketing campaigns following an analytical scientific process. Your campaign management will begin with assessment of your customer and will involve working with others in campaign design and utilize personalization and data science, and involves meticulous test & learn, campaign analytics, and partner reporting with an eye towards automation and global scalability while retaining local relevance. You will also cultivate functional subject matter expertise to contribute across the team and manage specific internal colleague relationships.

 

What You Will Do:

  • You will develop a data-informed understanding of customer needs across the customer lifecycle

  • Team with engineering resources to optimize the use of targeting, segmentation and predictive models

  • You'll lead global email marketing campaigns with occasional support for push and SMS

  • Lead campaign deployments and ensure communications are purposeful, cohesive and locally relevant while achieving operating use through global scalability

  • Maintain a backlog of test & learn hypotheses; prioritizing, planning, executing & measuring tests to further improve the customer experience

  • You will manage relationships with ecommerce, creative, merchandising and product teams

  • Partner with Email Operations to build new processes and solutions to automate and improve personalization of emails

 

What You Bring:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 5+ years experience in direct/database marketing, CRM, merchandising, or e-commerce product management

  • A combination of creativity, analytical skills, and discipline to follow the scientific method for test & learn

  • Experience pulling, manipulating, and deriving insight off of data - prior experience with SQL, JIRA, and Confluence highly desired

  • Ability to develop and implement of sophisticated testing plans preferred
