ExpediaDirector, Merchandising and Marketing Solutions

As Director of Merchandising and Marketing Solutions, you will partner with our sales team to assist EPS’ top partners with digital marketing and merchandising. You will consult external partner marketing teams to achieve mutually-aligned objectives (traffic, revenue, engagement, loyalty) by means of partner’s direct and indirect marketing channels such as SEM, digital media, email and merchandising placements. You will build partner benchmarking, standard methodologies and scorecards to share across the global sales team in order to broaden the sales team's marketing expertise. You will also build a proven business case in terms of what products are required from Product to continue to drive growth and automation.

What you’ll do:

  • Advise on digital marketing and merchandising strategy for partners
  • Lead and strengthen a team of digital optimization, marketing and merchandising authorities
  • Define playbook of services and blueprint on how team best delivers return on investment from marketing and merchandising activities
  • Own budget and develop success metrics for function
  • Develop campaigns, messaging and other customer-facing features that motivate customers to purchase via external partner marketing channels to achieve performance goals
  • Keep internal partners informed of industry standards, best practices, and benchmarking
  • Cultivate a culture where decisions are supported by test and learn, analysis and wider market trends
  • Build return on investment analysis standards for function and craft scorecard to communicate performance
  • Own and be responsible for delivery, growth and regular communication of team performance to EPS’ leadership team
  • Work closely with Product to enhance merchandising capabilities using technology and automation to gain efficiencies and enhance campaign results
  • Partner with Marketing to create case studies and standard methodologies with an emphasis on helping tell EPS’ loyalty story

Who you are

  • 8+ years in digital marketing and merchandising via a B2C ecommerce brand, preferably in travel
  • Experience in developing strategic plans to meet company goals and a consistent record of business data-driven and fact-based decision-making
  • Examples of presenting strategically valuable and complex recommendations to senior leaders
  • Commercial mind set, critical to working alongside sales team and communicating results internally and externally
  • Great teammate in a dynamic global environment with expertise influencing and directing internal partners to achieve key objectives
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment and strong partner management skillset
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and mentor a diverse and geographically fragmented team to achieve specific goals
  • Enthusiastic and positive attitude
  • Bachelor’s Degree (MBA preferred)
