The Role
Nylas is looking for an experienced Director of Product Marketing to lead our AI/ML and Connectivity product marketing teams. In this role, you will manage and hire the team, execute on the product marketing strategy, and work closely with your Director of Product peers to drive top-line business metrics like revenue and net expansion.
Reporting to the CMO, the ideal candidate has experience running GTM strategy for AI/ML and API products. As the Director of Product Marketing for AI/ML and Connectivity, you will act as the General Manager for these product lines, assuming leadership and responsibility for key messaging, positioning, product adoption, competitive analysis, and market research. The ideal candidate has experience managing a product marketing team and running GTM for technical audiences such as CTOs, engineers, and product managers.
What You'll Do

  • Lead a team to build deep product knowledge across our various products, including API connectivity and AI/ML capabilities
  • Conduct market, competitor, and customer research to capture insights and assess market opportunities.
  • Conduct competitive analysis to influence product roadmap decisions and vision, working closely with solutions engineering and product
  • Keep competitive analysis up-to-date, working closely with sales enablement to empower the sales team to win every opportunity in head-to-head competition
  • Increase adoption of new and existing products through deep market research, understanding of customer pain points, and identification of key assets to help increase sales wins
  • Collaborate with your marketing, engineering, and product peers to ensure top-level messaging aligns across each product line
  • Lead strategy to understand customer pain points and influence the product AI/ML feature roadmap, working closely with the product team


What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in technical product marketing with a deep understanding of the motivations of technical audiences, 2+ years managing a team
  • A proven track record of your ability to understand technical personas and build adoption and engagement of new and existing product lines
  • Technical aptitude, curiosity, and a keen understanding of the API ecosystem and its technical audiences
  • Ability to effectively influence both internal and external stakeholders across all levels of the organization


Compensation:
The estimated base pay range for this role is 184,000 USD - 230,000 USD + equity, perks, and benefits.
The total compensation for this role will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location
