About the role:

Limeade is looking for a key leader on the Product Marketing Team. The Product Marketing Manager is an integrated role that partners closely with the Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams in order to drive revenue for the business. Your work leading messaging and positioning will fuel the product story that is told through sales enablement, product launches, marketing campaigns and events, customer success, and industry influencers. Our customers succeed with Limeade because of your passion for them, and the work you do to enables their voices to permeate company content, value proposition, product development, and customer education.

You enjoy being the glue that binds our product strategy to the tactics driving sales and marketing to achieve results. You are a skilled communicator with a unique ability to translate features into clear and concise benefits that resonate with our target audience, which includes HR and C-level executives. You are passionate about our customers and raise their voices to help evangelize the product, both internally and externally. Most of all, you’re a leader that can work across teams in a fast-paced environment and deliver results. This position reports to the Senior Director of Product Marketing.


Responsibilities:

Research Market Trends

  • Lead with data, spend time researching and analyzing your market, leveraging insights and analysis of the market, competitors, sales, and customers, to understand how to best position our products and services and drive an effective GTM strategy
  • Deeply understand the global  industry landscape, including key trends and industry shifts
  • Create buyer personas. Define and analyze buyer journeys including pain points
  • Build relationships with key industry analysts and ensure they are aware of our product offering 

Go-to-Market Strategy & Storytelling

  • Lead go-to-market strategy and feature/product launch plans
  • Define compelling and differentiated messaging that conveys a powerful story and consistently communicates our value proposition across channels
  • Understand the entire solution in-depth and create the product narrative
  • Be a voice for our customers/target buyers in strategic planning to influence the business and product strategy
  • Strategize on content creation, sales enablement and marketing campaign reviews
  • Work cross-functionally to set pricing and packaging that aligns to the product value 
  • Partner with the broader Marketing team to produce content/programs that include, customer stories, webinars,  product sheets, product videos, thought leadership, etc. that aligns with product positioning and drives product sales
    Internal Communication & Enablement
  • Work with product and engineering to define product roadmap and timelines
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and Product to create a differentiated product narrative decks, positioning, competitor analysis, buyer personas, and sales enablement materials
  • Be the internal expert on the competitive landscape and educate teams on it
  • Collaborate with the content marketing team to create thought leadership content
  • Function as a critical thought leader and influencer for your product and subject area.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of marketing and product marketing experience for B2B SaaS products
  • Experience in Human Resource technology (performance management, HRIS, employee engagement, etc.) is valuable but not required
  • Knowledge of the business processes and how customers make software buying decisions, with experience in measurement and analysis of results
  • The ability to move between strategic planning and tactics, as well as hands-on execution of our values and mission
  • Strong communication skills including copywriting, storytelling, and presenting
  • Experience researching markets and audiences and building go-to-market plans 
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to shape/influence the business 
  • Proven record of crafting messaging, positioning and product collateral
  • Demonstrated ability to speak in front of audiences
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and marketing automation systems
  • Focused education in business and marketing; MBA preferred, but not required
  • Ability to credibly influence across the organization

 DESIRED IMPACT BY 6 MONTHS

  • Meet with internal stakeholders and establish a 6 month project plan with manager
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to category positioning and messaging for go-to-market planning
  • Lead at least one product launch, coordinating cross-functional teams. 
  • Collaborate across teams to build and deliver cohesive product marketing plans, GTM strategies, and alignment to support business objectives. 
  • Support market and customer research collection, analysis, and interpretation of data for short- and long-term market forecasts and reports.
  • Cultivate effective relationships with internal stakeholders to ignite action that will grow the business. 
  • Grow a deep understanding of our customers and marketplace while integrating best practices on how customer needs inform our product marketing strategies. 
  • Assist sales on calls when appropriate to provide deeper dives into the product. 
  • Manage the development of sales tools and training that support the selling process of our products and services. 
  • Strategize and drive the creation of content (e.g., infographics, white papers, user guides, web content, presentations, sales documentation, product videos, website copy, blog posts, release announcements) to articulate the benefits of Limeade to the marketplace. 
  • Understand the buyers of Limeade, including how they buy and their buying criteria. 
  • Develop a clear and differentiated product story that is consistently told across the organization
