We are looking for an energetic business-minded individual with an understanding email best practices to join our marketing team and contribute to the success of all email marketing initiatives across various apps. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to define and execute a series of well-targeted email marketing campaigns targeted at users in different stages of our customer life-cycle. The candidate should possess outstanding communications and project management skills and be motivated to become the email expert on our marketing team.

What you should bring to the table
- BA/BS in Marketing, Business Administration or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of email marketing experience in an online, consumer-focused company
- Mobile marketing experience, including push notifications
- Experience working with a major Email Service Provider – preferable Exact Target
- Experience working with external platforms to drive optimization and contextual email campaigns. (For example: Persado, MovableInk, and Audience Point)
- Proven track record in developing email campaigns that drive customer retention and increase site usage through the identification of customer preferences/needs and inspiring their desire to return
- Detailed knowledge of US and International Can-Spam laws
Winning the jackpot
You will be working across three plus apps, executing end to end email campaigns. Your expertise will allow you to partner with other members of the Marketing team to develop new customer segmentation and contact strategies. You will become the owner of the email calendars and report campaign impacts to the marketing team.
Placing your best bet - the responsibilities
- Drive the concept, development and execution of email marketing campaigns, including triggered, lifecycle campaigns, and newsletters
- Write effective briefs that include campaign objectives and strategic messaging and work with internal/external vendors to create compelling copy and design that ensures successful results
- Develop new messaging strategies that leverage the data we have on our members and provide business requirements to technical teams to construct more compelling emails
- Complete email program reporting and optimization
- Manage subscriber database including creating, updating and suppressing lists
- Help mitigate deliverability issues
- Create, implement and report on A/B and multi-variant testing for subject lines, content and designs
- Back up for Push Notification manager as needed
