The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will work collaboratively as a member of a recently formed Family Office to support a high-net-worth family with a diverse set of complex business and personal interests. The COO will be responsible for overseeing key operating functions related to legal, administration, people & culture, risk management, tax, and reporting. We are looking for local PNW candidates only.

What you’ll do:

  • Work collaboratively with the Family Office Principal and leaders to achieve strategic goals
  • Manage personnel and processes in the areas of legal, administration, people & culture (HR), risk management, tax and reporting.
  • Provide comprehensive and regular updates to the Family Office Principal
  • Set key initiatives and provide guidance with department leads
  • Provide efficient and effective information dissemination to other functional areas of the Family Office
  • Coordinate key operating initiatives within the Family Office and in coordination with the Principal’s services staff
  • Proactively pursue best practices in areas of responsibility, including systems, processes and personnel
  • Manage and lead Family Office vendor relationships

Who we’re looking for:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Administration or similar
  • Advanced education or training in professional services operations highly desirable
  • 15+ years of experience in similar management roles in a professional services environment
  • High personal integrity and professional ethics
  • Ability to comprehend a disparate range of topics and synthesize key points
  • Analytical thinker with strategic mindset
  • Systematic knowledge of databases and tracking systems
  • Fantastic organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt and contribute in a small team environment
  • Brilliant written and verbal communication skills
  • Solutions-oriented with strong employee relations skills/experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with high proficiency in Microsoft suite of products, including Excel
