Smartsheet is looking for an effective and adaptable Construction Project Manager to provide support to the growing team at Smartsheet. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing domestic tenant improvement projects in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. You must be exceedingly well organized and enjoy the challenges of supporting diverse people and programs. This position requires the ability to remain flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient while maintaining a high level of integrity at all times. This role is based in Bellevue, WA and reports to the Senior Manager of Real Estate.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Manage multiple projects and effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors
  • Align/manage project scope, schedule, budget and quality
  • Manage the construction process including construction administration and site observation
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including documentation of key project decisions
  • Manage accurate and detailed record keeping, contract adherence, sign-offs and approvals
  • Track budget, actual spending, commitments, and forecasts
  • Support selection of furniture, fixture, equipment and special systems and manage the procurement process
  • Interface with and manage vendors, contractors and suppliers, balancing cost, timing, quality, and value
  • Anticipate project and team risks, and recommend mitigation strategies as necessary
  • Maintain and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of buildings and trades
  • Maintain a high commitment to quality, thoroughness, and efficiency in all work aspects, and meet all project deadlines
  • Support, coordinate and participate in project work with Facilities, IT and Office teams, including small tenant improvements, space planning and office moves
  • Support and maintain a high level of engagement in the employee experience


  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a Project Manager or similar role
  • Degree in construction management or certificate program preferred
  • Experience in construction management of $2M+ projects
  • Flexibility with work schedule as needed to accommodate the needs of the business and team
  • Maintain timely, positive and professional communications
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Familiarity with Google Drive, Docs and Slides preferred
  • Maintain collaborative and constructive relationships with partners, contractors, and vendors
  • Be a Smartsheet cultural ambassador by demonstrating and championing the core Smartsheet values
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully
  • Exceptional organization, communication skills, attention to detail, and follow through
  • Demonstrated and effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with individuals inside and outside Smartsheet in a way consistent with our values and commitment to service
  • Ability to manage highly sensitive situations with professionalism
  • Strong decision-making ability
  • Ability to work independently, and demonstrate good personal judgment
  • Comfortable with shifting priorities and frequent change
