Blue Nile is looking for a dynamic Purchase Order Specialist to join our Planning Team. This position will be responsible for overall management of purchase orders to our Fulfillment Centers and/or customers. As a key member of the Planning Team, the Purchase Order Specialist will be comfortable building cross-functional relationships across the organization, pro-actively work with their vendor base, Merchandising and other partners to identify areas of opportunity, participate and drive vendor performance improvement.

 What you will you do:

  • Manage & own the PO process from end-to-end – execute buys using MRP
  • PO maintenance, Backorder and Inventory management
  • Manage receiving and inventory of all core product
  • Track, analyze, and report on supply chain KPIs
  • Support the planning team in maintaining a healthy inventory
  • Partner with Accounts Payable (AP) and Fulfillment Center (FC) Operations to proactively develop solutions to reduce discrepancies and drive efficiencies
  • Participate in business reviews to develop greater understanding of how specific actions impact overall department results
  • Strong attention to detail, along with organization and time management skills
  • Ability to build and foster productive working relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter who desires to discover trends and find actionable information
  • Ability to take initiative and act independently

 What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business, purchasing, merchandising, supply chain management, finance or related field
  • 2+ years of experience within operations, supply chain or inventory management
  • Strong attention to detail, along with organization and time management skills
  • Self-starter; takes initiative to address and solve issues / problems
  • Able to resolve complex problems independently.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to build and effective cross-functional relationships
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability and organization
  • Experience with Oracle EBS, Tableau and JIRA or similar reporting and operations systems
  • Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
