About the opportunity
Ontra is seeking a Security Operations Associate to join our growing Security Operations team. This person will be responsible for resolving security issues, performing daily security tasks, ensuring company-wide adherence to security policies, and leading security-related initiatives with other business functions.
The role is a great opportunity for someone looking to break into the Security space within a fast-growing company. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives working cross-collaboratively, has great communication skills, and values organization and attention to detail.

What you’ll do
- Monitoring & Onboarding: Assist with monitoring user endpoints with Jamf products, and successfully manage the onboarding and offboarding of employees
- Security Diligence Management: Perform regular due diligence on 3rd party vendors and respond to customer security diligence questionnaires
- Cross Collaboration: Collaborate with IT, People, Legal, Engineering, Product, and DevOps to monitor and ensure security best practices are being followed throughout the organization
- Incident Response: Monitor for and promptly resolve any security incidents
- Support Security Protocols: Support security in maintaining compliance with SOC 2, ISO, and other privacy and security standards
What you’ll bring
- Experience: Bachelor's degree and 1+ years of general cybersecurity or IT experience
- Organization & prioritization: You excel at organization and systems, and pride yourself on your ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong written & verbal communication: You are comfortable communicating with people in all departments and at all levels of the organization
- IT Exposure: Experience with basic system management (i.e Google admin, OKTA admin, Jamf admin) is preferred

Ontra publishes salary ranges on our salary board here: http://bit.ly/3UjAOE3, which currently includes estimated annual cash salary ranges for candidates based in Colorado and New York City, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

In addition to cash salary, the total compensation package Ontra offers includes unit-based compensation (if applicable). Certain roles in our sales and account management departments may also be eligible to receive variable compensation or commission.
