The Senior Manager, Business Insights and Operations is a people manager role and is integral part of Portfolio Marketing and GTM organization.  The charter of your team is to lead go-to-market planning, rhythm of business, program management, and communications for all elements of portfolio’s remit including but not limited to persona and messaging research requirements, PLM governance ensuring PMM GTM Excellence program adoption, sales enablement for solutions, content performance, and GTM editorial strategy and management for earned channels. Your team’s role is to drive deeper collaboration, transparency, and institutionalizing decisions made with stakeholders including Product Group PMMs and GMs, the Global Demand Center, and Portfolio Marketing leaders.

The second component of this role is being a great storyteller, working directly with the VP of Portfolio Marketing on internal storytelling, leading strategy presentations, requests for funding, and communication of progress against goals. An added bonus would be having experience in crafting customer-facing messaging and assets to evolve the Adaptive Applications messaging for key moments in time such as events and investor meetings.

The ideal candidate has proven experience working closely with executives in a fast-paced environment and applying strong consultative skills, including business acumen, customer empathy, and the ability to influence and partner. This person thrives in a dynamic, global, fluid, matrix environment and is results-focused, is comfortable leading from both the front and the rear, as situations dictate.

Responsibilities

  • Annual GTM business planning and use case prioritization, driving the modeling and alignment across PGs, Sales, Marketing, and Corporate Strategy. This also includes quarterly reviews and planning. Set the agenda, ensure preparation, participate in the meetings, document decisions, and communicate outcomes.
  • Outcome and metrics tracking/reporting: Work closely with leaders across the organization (incl sales and the Global Demand Center) to develop goals, and objectives, and key results; develop systems and scorecards for managing performance against those goals. Ensure that our key efforts and initiatives are aligned to our strategic priorities.
  • Customer journey efficacy and content effectiveness reporting, tracking, and communications of results, to continuous delivery and improvement across UGTM channels.
  • Strategic initiative program management, including content, influencer, and security GTM  strategies and execution, including PLM alignment.  Ability to navigate internal networks and build internal consensus is important.
  • Process improvement as the company aligns around use case go-to-market, where less is more, rallying the company around common GTM efforts.
  • Operating rhythms, norms, and routines: Manage operating rhythm that facilitates decision-making, autonomy, leadership alignment, and team engagement, inclusive of staff meetings, operational reviews, leadership off sites, All Hands, etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA a plus
  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing, program management, management consulting, finance, or business operations
  • Outstanding written, verbal and presentation and communication skills
  • Strong business acumen, with demonstrated executive maturity and experience influencing stakeholders from entry level to executives
  • Consistent track record of building, supporting, and managing resources across multiple cross-functional teams and geographies
  • Program management skills of leadership, foresight, critical thinking, conflict management and risk management, in addition to bullet-proof planning, organization, and analysis
  • Experience leading multiple, simultaneous complex programs, through ambiguity and redefinition, with work streams spanning different businesses and fields
  • Demonstrated use of analytics to evaluate and define both issues and solutions
  • Honed story telling capabilities both in narrative and slide formats, for executive presentations

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
  • Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically or working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
