We are the Cloud Infrastructure Automation team whose charter is to ensure our Customers are provided their Instances in a safe, secure and reliable manner. We build automations to ensure our Customer Instances are provided the necessary care through their lifecycle be it provisioning or cloning or providing high availability or retiring.

 

We are seeking a ServiceNow Platform architect with a focus on system integrations, application development, workflow/process automation on the ServiceNow platform in combination with other technologies. You’ll partner with teams across our organization to deliver innovative cloud based and physical infrastructure solutions with increasing reliability, scalability, supportability and security.

 

You have a strong background in systems architecture and engineering, with an understanding of the components of software infrastructure. You are also familiar with hardware platforms, Operating System, virtualization, application design, databases, web and application servers. Prior experience in software or systems development/engineering and managing large-scale server infrastructure is highly desirable. You are a hands-on technical consultant who is capable of going wide and deep on solution delivery and solution positioning.

  • Interact with internal customers and partner teams to understand their business needs and current user experience
  • Contribute and maintain a showcase of solutions created on the ServiceNow platform
  • Pursue opportunities to advance our operational effectiveness and increase customer satisfaction
  • Scope and deliver Proof of Concept/Proof of Value engagements with internal customers and partner teams
  • Maintain strong alignment with product management and engineering teams on roadmap and field feedback
  • Provide mentoring and training to peers and other colleagues within the organization
  • Deliver demonstrations of the ServiceNow product, both standard and tailored to existing customers and prospects
  • Support Marketing events including user conferences, trade shows, webinars etc. to show case how we use ServiceNow internally for our needs
  • Serve as a regional leader to drive practice activities when called upon

 

What you need to be successful in this role:

  • Have at least 6 years or equivalent combination of education and experience successfully building applications on development platforms, with at least 4 years of strong application development on the ServiceNow platform
  • Be a thought-leader who is able to influence and coach tech leads, engineers, solutions architects and the business
  • Have a working knowledge of Java and JavaScript, as well as other programming languages
  • Have a working knowledge of web application technology and API frameworks, authentication and secure coding best practices
  • Have familiarity of virtualization and cloud infrastructure technologies
  • Have a working knowledge of ServiceNow Business Rules, User Interface Pages, User Interface Macros, Script Includes, Processors, Workflow, Service Catalog, centralized Machine Learning service and other important components of the ServiceNow platform
  • Have a deep knowledge of service oriented and distributed application architecture in the enterprise
  • Exhibit prior and current technical expertise in web technology and the ability to learn new technologies
  • Been a technical or practice team lead in previous roles
  • Display exceptional communication and presentation skills to include technical and business concepts

Location and Travel Expectation:

  • Santa Clara or Kirkland
  • 20 – 30% travel
