About the Position

A core part of what we’re building at Assurance is a large network of on demand independent insurance who work on our platform to serve customers. As we build the future of insurance and financial services, the User Engagement Manager (UEM) is responsible for onboarding our user agents onto the Assurance platform. The UEM manages a team of User Engagement Specialists (UES) and leads the team to hit onboarding targets. UEMs own the efficiency and growth of this onboarding journey, so they must be highly data-driven as they usher agents through the onboarding funnel. The UEM should be able to effectively manage and inspire a team, run experiments to find and eliminate inefficiencies, and work with carriers to improve their agent appointment processes (and thus make Assurance’s agent experience more streamlined).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive onboarding targets for your line of business. Oversee the day-to-day activities associated with the onboarding of new agents. Monitor and report on the onboarding stages for all new agents;
  • Drive, maintain and update documentation and processes. Make recommendations for process improvements and drive implementation.
  • Create and pull reports from Salesforce and monitor stages of the prospective agents to better determine where to focus efforts. Plan out the projects to execute based on these reports;
  • Lead data compilation, analysis, background research and mathematical computations in tools like Salesforce, Excel, and Looker;
  • Determine goals for the user engagement specialists and manage the team to goals. Help them hit their targets and provide technical support on all related systems and applications where needed;
  • Acts as the frontline for the applicant tracking process, including troubleshooting and resolving applicant inquiries;
  • Responsible for group onboarding events to ensure targeted prospective groups are efficiently onboarded with all information and system updates completed in a timely manner.

The be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • 2-3 years of experience overseeing and managing 5+ people.
  • 2+ years of experience as an operations manager, customer service manager, recruiter, people operations manager, or other administrative manager.
  • An eagerness to identify challenges and implement solutions.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail within a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
  • A strong command of Salesforce, Microsoft Office, applicant tracking software, and/or business intelligence tools.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn and work on different tasks as needed.
  • Ability to take initiative to create change and manage multiple tasks at a time.

The following additional is highly desired:

  • Experience in community management and/or working with on-demand networks.
  • Experience within a startup or a company that is scaling quickly.
