About the Position  

Our User Support Specialists (USS) serve as the bridge between Assurance and the agents who use our platform to power their insurance businesses. Our USS team works with our licensed users and drives compliant sales practices while focusing on user engagement. The role will require the use of several third-party software platforms, understanding all the components of the Assurance platform, understanding Medicare insurance products, and a detailed comprehension of insurance regulations including the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (“CMS”) as well as telephone and privacy laws. The ideal candidate will become an expert on the experience of our users, obtaining feedback on functionality of our platform so that we can continue to make it better for them. Our USS team answers any and all questions users have, allowing them to remain focused on running their own businesses through the ease of our modern platform. 

The User Support Specialist will report directly to a Medicare Sales Territory Manager. 

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following:

  • Ability to be a champion of Assurance to the agent users, making sure that they understand our mission and values and are excited to be a part of what we are achieving together.
  • Experience and comfort with modern software platforms, enabling you to quickly become an expert on all aspects of the Assurance platform.
  • Ability to work with the Assurance compliance group, listen to user calls to verify compliant practices, and to monitor the industry for compliance changes to implement them into your role. 
  • Ability and passion for being a resource for users that want to gain further expertise in insurance sales, providing effective and innovative tools to develop sales strategies leveraging the Assurance platform. 
  • Experience building trust with others through a commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards. 
  • Experience with highly ethical and compliant insurance sales practices, including CMS guidelines and regulations. 

In addition, the following additional experience is highly desired:

  • At least 5 years Medicare sales experience
  • Multi-state insurance licensing with solid knowledge of the insurance regulatory framework 
  • AHIP Certified 
  • Previous telephone sales or call center experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Interest in obtaining continuing education on insurance and Medicare ethics and compliant sales practices
