Role Description

We’re looking for a product and technology communications pro with sharp attention to detail, strong writing and communication skills, and a natural storytelling ability. This individual will be tasked with designing and executing programs that drive awareness for the company’s business solutions and partnerships. This position will work closely with the marketing team, analyst relations, partnerships team, and corporate marketing team to craft compelling stories about Dropbox and execute on strategies that will bring these stories to life.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute communications strategies, partnership news, and product launches for Dropbox
  • Drive thought leadership campaigns on building tools for distributed teams, privacy and security, and other key issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify key audiences, metrics, and story concepts to drive news coverage for Dropbox
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business development teams to amplify impact of new product features, platform innovation, and partner ecosystem news
  • Develop media pitches, generate media coverage, and cultivate Dropbox relationships with media outlets
  • Partner with external agency to drive results

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of communications/PR experience, ideally in both agency and in-house tech company settings
  • Experience pitching and working with tech industry media; demonstrated media relations success
  • Experience with partnership communications a plus
  • Experience with and passion for growing and promoting tech brands with a deep understanding of the tech industry landscape
  • Skilled at prioritizing and executing in a fast-paced environment with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to demonstrate strong writing and storytelling skill a must
  • Analytical problem-solver with exceptional written and oral communications skills
  • Team player with a demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with product, partnership, and marketing teams
