About Us:

Right now, even though STEM skills are increasingly important, over 60% of students in Kindergarten through 8th grade are not proficient in math at their own grade-level. The pandemic has increased the opportunity gap for our most vulnerable students. As a society, we need to bring together our best, most creative minds to tackle this critical problem and ensure all kids are successful in math and school and have the tools they need to reach their potential. This includes developing the most innovative learning technology using advanced data science in a way that inspires students and empowers teachers. Come help us make a difference at DreamBox Learning.

We’re passionate about our mission to radically transform the way the world learns. Today, our Intelligent Adaptive Learning platform – with its rigorous math curriculum and game-based environment – is helping 5 million kids and over 150,000 educators improve math achievement and build a love of math at the same time. In the wake of COVID-19, and the broad range of learning experiences: in-person, all virtual and hybrid models, we are uniquely positioned to bring our best-in-class adaptive learning platform to more students and provide Educators and Parents with insights into their student’s learning.

About the role:

DreamBox is looking to accelerate the rebuild of our Licensing systems/technology to enable accurate Licensing workflow and unblock current Licensing/Provisioning choke points in team capacity. The Licensing project is currently in a build vs buy evaluation with the goal to implement the new infrastructure by May 1.

This school year, DreamBox has rostered approximately 5 million students and 200K educators across the US and International. Onboarding is a critical part of our customer journey, impacting usage throughout the school year. However, we have limited tools and functionality to connect contract data with our licensing tools and student roster data. Our current workflow to manage adherence to contracts, client activation, and access requires manual intervention, which slows down onboarding time and is not scalable.

Roster data can be ingested in many ways: via the educator’s dashboard, through our own automated upload, or using Clever or ClassLink to share roster and login data.

Our data model includes district as the highest level, schools as the second level (unique to district), and classes within schools (unique to schools).

We currently store client data about contract validity and licensing in Salesforce and connect this data (manually and automatically) to internal tools and services.

We support consumer and district purchasing, though we are primarily focused on our district & schools’ business.

Develop/confirm technical, workflow and process requirements to meet customer and company needs.

Provide recommendations on 3rd party systems that can be integrated to meet critical licensing and provisioning needs through automation.
