The Resource Management and PMO Lead is a newly created role within an upstart digital marketing, strategy, and communications agency that supports a fully flexible workforce in and around the Seattle area. This position will lead the charge to develop, execute, and maintain an agency-wide resource management program. In addition, the Resource Management and PMO Lead will work collaboratively to define PMO best practices in support of internal and external initiatives and projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in product management at enterprise technology or startup firms.

A talented and experienced team will support this position while also offering the autonomy to build something great for the future of Lions + Tigers. The Resource Management and PMO Lead should be confident identifying and planning for resources needed in the short-term as well as developing a resource roadmap to accelerate future growth and scale.

This is a part-time contractor role estimated at 20 (flexible and remote) hours per week.

The ideal candidate has experience with at least two of the following: startup operations, product management, project management, resource management, business analytics, recruiting, head count modeling, software implementation, process improvement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop working relationships with account management and recruiting teams. Fully understand individual capabilities and capacity within the existing team as well as talent pipeline.
  • Ensure the right resources are assigned to projects and optimize utilization from start to finish.
  • Align staffing and resource levels and models with customer demand, financial targets, and company mission.
  • Develop, implement, practice and manage appropriate standardized project management processes, tools, and reporting for PMO internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and deploy tools and processes to efficiently scale talent and resource management as a practice.
  • Prepare detailed schedules, project plans, and status updates for internal and external PMO projects.
  • Create compelling client-facing deliverables, owning and delivering the finished product.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to deliver strategic projects. Measure effectiveness through qualitative and quantitative metrics.
  • Serve as a trusted counselor to internal leaders and clients.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of Project Management experience, project management training (PMP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years in agency resource management/planning or experience resourcing for strategy, account management and PMO.
  • Minimum of 2 years of PMO leadership experience preferred.
  • Experience in product management at enterprise technology or startup firms strongly preferred.
  • Experience using resource and project management tools and software.
  • Deep love for well-executed systems, tools, and processes.
  • Superior communication and client-facing skills. Experience and acumen engaging with senior-level business executives and complex, distributed, multiple-stakeholder teams.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others in high-pressure situations and to manage productively through conflict.
  • Motivated, self-starting, adaptive, comfortable with high rates of change — and with a natural desire to accept challenges and diverse assignments.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely (and across time zones, when necessary).
  • Global and cultural awareness; proven competency for working in diverse and inclusive teams.
