The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for delivering the desired outcomes of security programs/projects. TPMs are the strategic drivers and tactical controllers of Security goals and projects. In this role, you will manage security projects in either an Agile or Waterfall methodology depending on the nature of the project. In either case, you will demonstrate a strategic perspective in the context of the Security Lifecycle. You will represent the various security services and teams to Unity’s business units and demonstrate specific expertise in one or more categories such as application security, infrastructure security or compliance. As a representative of the security team, you will understand the Security team’s expertise and capacity and assure that Security team members know and understand their assignments and the schedule for delivery. You will effectively communicate to management and stakeholders when and how their needs will be met. You will help prioritize work and assure delivery of project and program plans based on guidance from Security Leadership and the Security strategic roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with and collaborate with security and other business units to help mature security at Unity.
  • Manage projects that focus on technical security controls to meet internal policies and compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Coordinate security projects across many functional areas. Leverage data about how internal customers work within and across the Unity global enterprise.
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple disparate groups with competing priorities.
  • Lead delivery of the large, complex projects by anticipating bottlenecks, provide escalation management, making tradeoffs, and balancing the business needs versus technical constraints.
  • Evangelize security services and awareness across the company.
  • Assist in development and implement security controls across various business units.
  • Document processes and map to relevant policies and standards.
  • Perform vendor assessments for security.

Requirements

  • Proficient understanding of technical concepts and configurations in a cloud-based environment (e.g. GCP, Tencent, AWS). Previous security engineering, development, and operation experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity to detailed solutions. You can take a vague problem, crisply frame the challenge, identify a path forward, and drive an initiative over the finish line.
  • Demonstrated experience performing risk assessments, identifying vulnerability management, security and cloud architecture assessments, and change management.
  • Track record of transitioning immature or emerging technologies into a stable security infrastructure.
  • Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages (Java, Python, Ruby, Perl).
  • BA/BS degree, extensive experience with technical project management and also experience working with security, cloud services or technical operations.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working in a highly cross-functional environment where communication with multiple groups is imperative.
  • Experience with system administration and auditing of Linux systems a huge plus.
