Your Day

As a Sales Operations Senior Program Manager you will work closely with our finance, operations and sales teams. The overarching goal is to enhance our ability to understand who our customers are, ensure complicated enterprise deals are processed quickly, and to establish a single source of truth that reflects what our customers have purchased. You will be establishing a vision and driving its execution for the future of tools that are critical to the success of a $5.8B business. In a given day you might:

  • Defines and drives Sales and Operations technology strategy and vision in partnership with IT program manager, including co-ownership of the Opportunity to Cash roadmap
  • Work collaboratively with the team to drive product requirements, design and prototyping process to discover internal customer problems and create valuable, desirable and feasible solutions
  • Collaboratively define and prioritize a backlog for your products that continuously delivers measurable value towards the vision
  • Manages competing business and IT stakeholder expectations and priorities; articulates decisions on priorities and value to internal Pivotal colleagues
  • Responsible for all communication and training to Field Sales and Sales Operations business groups on technology changes, prioritization, and progress
  • Help innovate and iterate on agile PM processes and share your insights

Required Skills / Experiences

  • Analytical ability, creativity, attention to detail, problem solving, organization & prioritization skills
  • Product management or similar experience, especially with large scale, enterprise tools
  • Ability to liaise with multiple internal divisions and departments and foster alignment
  • Desire and curiosity to understand company strategy and help move the needle
  • Experience with agile development methodology
  • Experience managing a hybrid engineering team tasked with both maintenance/kanban work and new feature development

Desired Skills / Experiences

  • Experience using/managing enterprise tools such as Salesforce, Zuora, or other quote-to-cash tools
  • Strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to teach others
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision making hierarchies
  • Focused on data-driven approaches to solving problems, and accelerating the learning process to validate solutions
  • Ability to collaborate well with engineers, designers, and other partners
  • Experience with Lean and User-Centered Design methodologies
