Over the next three years, our goal is to transform the 268 billion analogue phone calls between a brand and its consumers to digital on the Live Engage platform. As the Sr. TPM Data Science and Machine Learning you will define and manage a program structure for research and development within the LivePerson science organization. This is an opportunity to work with highly skilled researchers and scientists to explore and develop cutting edge solutions that enable consumers to experience a more connected and productive relationship with the brands that they frequent across multiple channels.

In this role you will:

• Collaborate with scientists and researchers to prioritize and execute projects related to innovations in conversational commerce including Natural Language Understanding and state-of-the-art Dialog Management.
• Lead cross-functional teams (design, analysts/data scientists, engineering, service engineering) across multiple geographies to productize and scale advances in Machine Learning and AI.
• Understand dependencies and asynchronous workflows between various large-scale systems, and coordinate the delivery of innovative products and features a complex landscape.
• Create development and delivery plans that inform overall product road maps.
• Track project status/ key performance indicators and write status reports for broad communication. Hold team members accountable, with a smile!
• Operate as the scrum master for two Data Science Agile scrum teams and improve/ develop new processes that promote team cohesion, throughput and creativity
• Engage with scientists and engineers in discussion about technical design and scoping
• Coordinate documentation and facilitate the publication of research findings

You should be an expert in:

• A background and interest in Machine Learning or scientific research.
• Strong quantitative proficiency
• 5+ years of experience in Technical Product or Program Management.
• The ability to communicate effectively by demonstrating clarity of thought in writing & presentations to technical & non-technical audiences.
• Thinking big; we’re inventing a new industry and we need strategic thinkers to take us to the next level. 
• Experience taking a leading role in building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering techniques & best practices for the full software development life cycle.
• BA/B.Sc. in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
