Technical Engagement Manager - Wireless

Pivotal is seeking a Technical Engagement Manager to own and manage the relationship with a Tier 1 operator customer as a key advisor and product advocate for the company’s Holographic Beamforming Antenna product offerings. In addition to being external facing this position will work closely with Product Management and Engineering internally to support and lead product and platform sales and strategy through implementation. Externally, this role will be responsible for using creative thinking to articulate product positioning to our end client. Internally this role will work closely with a small group of scientists, engineers and business leaders in a start-up environment.
In addition, the candidate should be skilled in relationship management, schedule management, written and verbal communication. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to think creatively and to operate within a complex large client organization dedicated to expanding Pivotal’s market and mindshare within that client. This position reports directly to the CEO.
•Navigate client organization to explore, investigate and resolve customer technology needs with respect to our portfolio offering
•Conduct and lead customer calls, meetings, briefings, demonstrations through the sales and implementation cycle
•Enable sales, providing both technical and relationship management to facilitate customer success
•Conduct mutually beneficial customer technical engagement programs, creating greater market insights for future product development decisions
•Review quotes, RFP’s, plans and other customer documents to develop and prepare a valid response or proposal
•Create and deliver sales enablement including in-person product demonstration, customer presentations and technical overview material
•Manage full product sales cycle through release from product concept to market release including technical requirement definition, project trade-off decisions, value-based pricing strategy and marketing release processes
•Work with Executive team, Product Management and Engineering to translate, communicate and define customer needs into product delivery offerings
•Maintain a working knowledge of the industry and competitors to act as a valuable resource to the customer and sales team
•Bachelor's Degree in Engineer or Business
•Multiple years of experience interfacing with Tier 1 wireless carriers as a Sales leader
•10 plus years of sales and product experience with wireless / RF / antenna infrastructure products as a Technical Product Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Engagement Manager, Sales Engineer, Product Engineer, Director of Sales, Product Manager, Business Development Director, Sales Manager or related title
•Solid understanding of product lifecycle management stages and processes
•Ability to understand and relay technical information to customers, engineering teams and marketing colleagues
•Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills to interact with customers and internal teams
•Strong leadership skills to be able to influence others and drive consensus of conflicting priorities
•Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
•Proficient in presenting to various business audiences as needed
•This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
•Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
•Hands on Experience as an RF Engineer, Electrical Engineer or related applicable title
•Startup experience delivering hardware infrastructure solutions to carriers/tier 1 operators
